Many Star Wars fans who are watching Obi-Wan Kenobi are surely wondering why an Inquisitor is different from a Sith.
We can already see the series Obi-Wan Kenobi on the streaming platform Disney Plus and the most surprising is that Darth Vader is not the main villain but that role is intended for Reva (Moses Ingram) who controls the force and also uses a red saber. But it is not Sitheven though it looks a lot like it. Then… What differentiates an Inquisitor from a Dark Lord?
the actress herself Moses Ingram talked about playing Reva as the enemy of Obi Wan and has failed to reveal the difference between the two:
“I would say that Reva is quite formidable. I’m biased too, but she’s pretty dangerous. I think she’s driven by her passion, she loves what she does and she’s willing to do the work. I think that’s why. The difference between Inquisitor and Sith, I got in trouble myself because I was informed that my character is not from the Sith, but from the Order of Inquisitors, which is a big, big difference. Can I tell you the difference? I wouldn’t dare try it, not on camera.”
Fortunately, Obi-Wan Kenobi’s director, deborah chowhas better explained the differences between Inquisitor and Sith:
“Well, the Sith, there is the Rule of Two, so there is no open membership in that. The interesting thing about the Inquisitors is that they are all individuals. They are not a monolithic team or entity. So everyone has a really interesting backstory and some of those backstories, they’ve already dug deep and I think there’s a lot more to explore. But to me, they all had different reasons why they turned and they’re all very powerful, so it’s a collective of individuals, which I think makes the Inquisitors so interesting.”
The real difference.
According to what we have learned thanks to the canon of starwarsa Inquisitor is usually a ex-Jedi or force user trained by Darth Vader and that it is under your direct orders. They had to learn to fight very aggressively and generally focus more on melee and so don’t tend to delve as deep into the dark side and twist the Force as a Sith.
