In a recent interview for a radio show, benedict cumberbatch talked about a certain moment between his Doctor Strange Y Hombre de Hierro that was going to take place in Avengers: Infinity War, but in the end it was eliminated. Specifically, Stephen Strange was going to become Iron Man wearing Tony Stark’s armor, thus combining the powers of the two heroes in order to face Thanos.
When asked if he was upset that the moment was cut, Cumberbatch admitted that he would have loved to see the scene in the final version of the film. Joking about what the character would have been called, he said he loved getting the chance to wear the Iron Man suit and find out that his powers would have worked well together.
Yeah, it bothered me a bit, both of us, it took a long time to fuse those suits together. It was an amazing moment, and I think it definitely came out better than Iron Strange or Doctor Man, or the other guy, Strange Man. It definitely came out better. I mean, having some outerwear with you is like really, really, really cool. I would have loved to have seen what that combination of wizardry and technology would do. Come on man.
