In matters of k-pop, who dominates today’s social networks? It is a difficult question to answer, because the fight is very tough, although today there are two opponents who break away from almost everyone else. On one side are the guys from BTS and the other is the girls from Blackpink.
BTS wins in almost all areas, but there is one, which is one of the most important, where Blackpink surpasses them by far. Let’s see how these two K-pop groups are up against each other on social media.
On Instagram: BTS
Adding the followers of both groups, they exceed 115 million, but of those, 67.1 are from BTS and Blackpink has 48.6. Being honest, even adding those 115 million do not even reach half of Justien Bieber, who boasts 255 million followers.

In the Asian social network, boys also dominate. Here they have 52.7 million followers against 30.9 for Blackpink.

This is where things are most uneven, because the group of Jin, RM, J-Hope, Suga, Jimin, V and Jungkook are followed by 47.1 million people, while Blackpink only 8.4.

It is on YouTube where Jennie, Jisoo, Rosé and Lisa dominate. As of today, Blackpink has 78.6 million subscribers. For his part, BTS is the male artist with the most subscribers on YouTube, with 70.3 million. Although it should be clarified that BTS has a very special brand: six of its songs have exceeded 1,000 million views. These themes are DNA, Boy With Luv, Dynamite, MIC Drop, Idol Y Fake Love. But in the meantime, let’s celebrate this Blackpink victory with one of his most viewed songs on YouTube: Pink Venom.
