The Canadian candy company Candy Funhouse published a job offer that is as professional as it is unusual. He is looking to recruit a candy taster, who will be paid a flat of 100 thousand Canadian dollars a year for tasting candy every day.
The person chosen for the full-time role will lead the company’s candy strategy and oversee new candy acquisitions. In addition, she must test 3,500 products per month, which translates to 113 pieces per day.
Being the candy manager at Candy Funhouse is so much more than just fun and games, it’s serious candy business! The candy director will be responsible for deciding what new candy products Candy Funhouse will carry, lead the candy board meetings, be the main flavor tester, and take care of all the fun stuff!
Because candy lovers come from many different backgrounds and ages, the candy director job is open to anyone who is at least five years old and lives in North America, so even the youngest have the opportunity to take home a six-figure salary from working at Candy Funhouse.
Additionally, work can be done remotely, but anyone who lives in Newark, New Jersey, USA or Toronto, Canada can work from either location.
The offer posted on LinkedIn notes that no prior experience is necessary, but an interest in candy, pop culture, and fun is helpful. Other requirements for the position include “possessing a creative mind, being a born leader, love of sweets and being fluent in English.”
