This year the awards ceremony oscar featured pre-recorded and edited scenes showing the winners in eight categories, but This measure generated multiple criticisms both by the public and by the nominated talent. For next year, the television broadcast of the ceremony will once again present the 23 shortlists completely live.
It’s a statement Bill Kramerof the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, announced the decision: “All categories will be televised live. We are committed to having a show that celebrates craftsmen, arts and sciences, and the collaborative nature of filmmaking. This is very much the mission of the Academy, and I am very hopeful that we can make a show that celebrates all the components of filmmaking in an entertaining and engaging way.”
The 95th Oscars will be held on March 12, 2023; The categories that will be presented again fully live are Best Original Music, Best Edition, Best Production Design; best sound, Best Makeup and Hairstyles, Best Documentary Short, Best Short Film Y Best Animated Short Film.
