Ikea has the solution (that does not get in the way) to lay indoors on rainy days

One day you’re young and the next you don’t do your laundry without first checking the weather forecast. And it is based on epic fails that it is learned that there is an unwritten rule of the universe that if you don’t check before you put on a washing machine, you are summoning a storm. In the worst case, the rain will catch you outside the house, with your clothes hanging in the air and without the possibility of picking them up, so you will have to wash them again. Nevertheless, when the rainy season arrives, even this may not be enough and many people bet on laying directly indoors.

In countries and regions where gloomy and rainy days are the majority, the dryer at home is usually a must. However, in a country with as much sun as Spain is, we tend to be less prepared for laundry in adverse times. It is also an appliance that works great with bedding, rags and towels but not suitable for many garments.

The fact is that, if it rains and you don’t have or can’t use the dryer, you have no choice but to dry it indoors. a situation in which you will also see yourself, rain or shine, if you live in an apartment without a balcony. Do not panic in any of the assumptions, we just need a corner free of humidity, where there are drafts and in which a clothesline fits. For the latter, Ikea has a very good proposal.

Horizontal clotheslines are enemies of space inside the house, so a vertical one can adapt much better to any interior corner. In the Swedish firm we have two that, in addition, They are foldable to store them when we are not using them.

The first of these models that take up very little because they take advantage of vertical space, has four levels and offers the possibility that, if you don’t have a lot of laundry and want to save space, you can open only half and put it next to the wall. Also, as the feet can be adjusted, it remains stable even on uneven floors. It has a height of 160 cm high and 72 wide.

The second, has only three levels (height 152 cm) and is wide (99 cm) so it is ideal for bedding and large towels. In total, it has 28 meters of space to spread out and, of course, it can also be easily folded for storage.
