Yesterday Joaquín Reyes and Ernesto Sevilla attended ‘El Hormiguero’ as guests. The actors came to present the series ‘Poor Devil’ and shared some funny anecdotes of his acting career and his time at the university.
college anecdotes
This Wednesday, Joaquín Reyes and Ernesto Sevilla presented on the Pablo Motos program ‘Poor devil’, the animated series for adults Created by themselves and Miguel Esteban, which premieres in Spain on February 17 on HBO Max.
The actors remembered when they studied Fine Arts at the University of Cuenca and, specifically, Reyes recounted the origin of the well-known “tradition” of photocopying one’s ass:
In college, there was something called “photocopy art”, making art with photocopies. People mixed “photocopy art” with “body art”: they began to photocopy parts of the body and ended up photocopying their ass. At the end, someone put up a sign: “Please, if you are going to photocopy your ass, put an acetate on it.”
The presenter too he asked them about a supposed “shit painting” that one of his classmates did in college. According to Ernesto Sevilla, it was a student who got worse grades than the others because of his more classical style and decided to give an unexpected twist to his art:
In my class, everyone painted very modern and the teacher rewarded that more than this boy, who was a very good painter but painted very classical. Until one day he came up with a super modern painting, with very strange textures and many shades of brown. People came up to the painting and touched it. The boy replied: “I have painted this picture with shit so that you can see that I also know how to paint shit like you.”
