Michael B Jordan he’s opened (again) Pandora’s box, and now that the world knows he’s an otaku they won’t leave him alone to keep talking about anime. In ‘Creed III’ he has even sneaked in some references to ‘Naruto’ and ‘Dragon Ball’ to make his inspirations and love for the medium very clear… But if we are still thinking about where to start watching anime, he has some recommendations for us.
You can spend hours
The anime has been key to defining much of ‘Creed III’starting with the camera shots and the rhythm of the fighting, and logically it all started with Jordan’s favorite series.
In a recent interview, the question of which series would I recommend to someone who has never watched any anime at all naturally ended up coming up. And the list is clear and does not disappoint: ‘One Piece’, ‘Dragon Ball’, ‘Naruto’, ‘Bleach’ and ‘Hunter x Hunter’.
1.ONE PIECE
2.DRAGON BALL
3.NARUTO
4.BLEACH
5. HUNTER X HUNTERMichael B Jordan says these are the TOP 5 ANIME new fans should start out with. Can’t say that’s he’s wrong.
That’s a HEAVY HITTER LIST pic.twitter.com/b6VfvN1BLG

The truth is that Michael B. Jordan’s TOP 5 is made up of heavyweights of shonen anime that are already legendary series that any anime fan needs to see once in a lifetime. They are cultural icons that have helped influence many other series that would come later, and luckily today we have them easily accessible via streaming.
Although be careful… Perhaps for someone who has not seen any anime in his life, It’s a pretty big commitment because almost none of these series goes below 200 or 300 episodes.. And in the case of ‘Hunter x Hunter’ and ‘One Piece’ they are not even finished.
So if we decide to get fully involved with the list of animes that Michael B. Jordan recommends, know that You have to be patient, eager, and you also have to take your time to update it.
