We saw Elba join the DC Extended Universe in 2021 under the direction of James Gunn, with the fun and violent The Suicide Squad. By the end of the film, Bloodsport was one of the few members of Task Force X to survive the battle against Starro on Corto Maltese, after which he blackmailed Amanda Waller into freeing the team from her. And while we at Peacemaker learned the immediate fate of one of the anti-heroes, Bloodsport’s current whereabouts are unknown.
However, in The Suicide Squad we learned that Bloodsport was sent to prison for putting Superman in intensive care after injuring him with a kryptonite bullet. Therefore, Idris Elba told Variety: “I would definitely like to tell the story of Superman. No doubt. Bloodsport vs. Superman. It has to happen.”
