What did Canelo say about Messi?
He acknowledged that he was carried away by the passion and love he feels for Mexico and made inappropriate comments, and he also apologized to Messi.
“These last days I was carried away by the passion and love I feel for my country and I made comments that were out of place for which I want to apologize to Messi and the people of Argentina. Every day we learn something new and this time it was my turn, ”wrote ‘Canelo’ on his Twitter account.
“I wish both teams much success in their matches today and here we will continue supporting Mexico until the end.”

After the game last Saturday between Mexico and Argentina, a video of the celebration of the Argentine soccer players in the dressing room was broadcast on social networks. In it appears Messi, who apparently kicks a Mexican shirt that was on the ground.
Given this, Saúl Álvarez was upset and reacted on Twitter: “Did you see Messi cleaning the floor with our shirt and flag????”, he wrote. “Let him pray to God that he doesn’t find me!”
