It cannot be said that ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ has had the hype that the first part had, partly because the sad absence of Chadwick Boseman and partly due to a superheroic tiredness that -now yes- is palpable. That doesn’t stop the film from being an emotional tribute as well as a solvent action movie, which is neither the best nor the worst of Marvel’s Phase 4. And then, of course, we have his post-credits scene, which silently prepares what is to come.
Obviously, from here on there are spoilers like fists, if you continue reading without seeing the movie you expose yourself to trial by Wakandan combat, you know.
A movie without T’challa
The final plans of ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ prepare the third part, with M’buku becoming the new king and Shuri letting go of her brother on the coast of Tahiti while discovering her new powers as Black Panther, who will now not be sovereign and warrior, but only the latter. This change that can be interesting for the future of the franchise now that she plants it that she gives the powers it is planted again in the same place where Killmonger swept it away.
Then Nakia, who lives in Tahiti, shows up with someone very special: her son, the scion of T’challa, named Toussaint… but whose real name is T’challa (they didn’t eat his head) and who bills himself as the prince of Wakanda. come on what the game of thrones is served. As a curiosity, the character is new, but in a timeline of the comics (specifically, Earth 555326), Black Panther had a son with Storm, from the X-Men, but his name was Azari and he was part of the Next Avengers . Another story that we will no longer see on the big screen.
The important thing about this discovery is that the film itself prepares, in Namor’s story, that someone who conceives a child while under the influence of certain types of herbs (as is the case with T’challa himself, where his powers come from ) can spawn a mutant, so… Is it possible that T’challa has superhuman powers? Will he dispute the throne of Wakanda? Will we see him fight alongside the Young Avengers? Many possibilities open up, but as the credits of the tape itself announce, the only thing that is clear is that Black Panther will return.
