They are currently shooting the third season of Netflix’s The Witcher and have had to stop production because Henry Cavill has tested positive for COVID.
According to IRthe production of season 3 of The Witcher suffered a very important inconvenience, since its star henry cavill has tested positive for covid. That’s why they had to stop everything, just as they were preparing for a large-scale battle that is straight out of the books.
Now they are facing quite a big problem because expanding a production schedule is not an easy task, as the stars are usually busy with other projects and cannot be available outside of the previously defined dates. Also, The Witcher is currently one of the largest productions of Netflix, any delay affects thousands of people involved in the production, from members of the cast to the crew in general. Although, for now they have not made any statement, but hopefully henry cavill recover quickly and return to the set as soon as possible.
This is not the first time that the pandemic has hit the series, as the production of season 2 was also halted due to contagions in 2020, delaying the release of the season until December 2021. For now, the season 3 has no release date. However, since the show was in the middle of production, fans were hoping to see the new adventures of Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavill), Ciri (Freya Allan) Y Yennefer (Anya Chalotra) at the beginning of 2023. However, it will be necessary to check how it is affecting the covid to production and if there are more cases that could lengthen the shooting.
Is that the reason you didn’t go to San Diego Comic-Con 2022?
Before the big event of the comic-conthere were some rumors that henry cavill would be present with Dwayne Johnson at the presentation of Black Adam or at least it was going to connect on-line. But in the end we didn’t get to see him anywhere.
