With the closure and demonization of the tabloids, It’s been a while since we had gossip about movie stars as juicy as those of recent years. And in the midst of this climate of real chaos, Styles premieres the new trailer for ‘My Policeman’ and breaks a segment of the Internet in half.
Lots of police, little fun
Harry Styles has insisted that he is going to be an actor, and it will not stop until it is respected as such. After his appearances in ‘Dunkirk’ and ‘Eternals’ (where he was more of a cameo than anything else), and after the controversy getting involved in the middle of filming with Olivia Wilde, the director of ‘Don’t worry dear’, now the musician and actor wants to show that he is much more than a pretty face with ambitions
In ‘My Policeman’, Styles is Tom, a gay cop from the 50s, in an England in which homosexuality was not exactly well seen. And, having to keep it hidden, when his sister’s friend insists on marrying him, Tom has no choice but to let himself be carried away by the designs of society. But At the same time, she meets Patrick, a man who will end up becoming her lover.. Well, you see, the soap opera is served.
Although in the United States ‘My Policeman’ will hit theaters, in Spain we will have to settle for a premiere on Amazon Prime Video the next November 4th. By then, it is possible that the controversy has been completely watered down … Or that Styles is still on everyone’s lips but for other reasons independent of his talent.
