A franchise with a future
“Take Harry Potter for example, the Wizarding World. The fact that we are enjoying this great success with the release of Hogwarts Legacy, 12 years after the last film came out, shows that there are plenty of opportunities and that we are just getting started.”, declared Gunnar Wiedenfels, Chief Financial Officer of Warner Bros. Discovery.
The idea of this new series will be to produce seven seasons, which will feature each of the Harry Potter books.
In 2022 it was reported that the seven Harry Potter books have been translated into 85 different languages, with which more than 600 million copies have been sold. Which translates into a business of more than seven billion dollars.
