It was in the year 2015 when the American rapper kanye-west He joined the select group of celebrities with a wax figure exhibited at Madame Tussauds. However, this dream would have come to an end after announcing that the institution decided to withdraw the statue from its exhibition due to the recent controversy that it starred in.
With a brief but forceful statement, the renowned museum reported the measures they took against the anti-Semitic speech that the interpreter of ‘Donda’ has recently shared.
“Ye’s figure has been removed from the amusement floor to our archive“, announced a spokesman for the museum. “Each profile earns its place at Madame Tussauds London and we listen to our guests and the public about who they expect to see in the attraction,” he said.
With this separation, there are already seven organizations and brands that decide to put an end to their business relationship with Kanye West, such was the case of Balenciaga, Gap, the JP Morgan bank, the CAA agency, Vogue and Adidas.
The separation with this last brand made him stop appearing on the Forbes list as one of the richest people in the world.. This is because the agreement that he had with the brand, which includes the sales of Yeezy shoes, represented 1,500 million dollars of the artist’s net worth.
Kanye West and the message that made him lose millions of dollars
The avalanche of losing contracts and supporters now plaguing ‘Ye’ was sparked by a social media post in which West insinuated that rapper and record producer Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs was controlled by “the Jewish people.”
Added to this, on October 8, he wrote on Twitter that he was going to do “a death with 3 in the Jewish people”, apparently in reference to the US military term ‘defcon’which means different alert levels for the use of the Armed Forces.
“You guys have played me and tried to blacklist anyone who opposes your agenda“wrote the musician.
