‘The Boys’ creator Eric Kripke has slammed the show’s toxic fans a few days after cast member Erin Moriarty revealed she has been the target of misogynistic bullying online. Moriarty has been a series regular for three seasons and plays the superhero Starlight. The actress wrote on Instagram that the backlash towards her character from toxic fans has left her feeling “silenced” and “dehumanized”.
Moriarty’s original post denouncing the backlash included the following message:
“I feel paralyzed. I’ve put blood, sweat and tears into this role… this breaks my heart – I’ve pierced a vein for this role and misogynistic trolling is exactly what this character speaks against. This has only strengthened my empathy muscle and to anyone who comes close to me: I see you, I don’t hate you, I just empathize and forgive.”
Kripke wrote on his own Twitter account a very strong reaction to Moriarty’s statement:
Hello trolls! One, this is literally the opposite of the damn message of the show. Two, you are causing pain to real people with real feelings. Be nice. If you can’t be nice, then eat a sack of dick, go fuck yourself and don’t watch ‘The Boys’, we don’t love you.”

Kripke is not the only member of ‘The Boys’ family who have defended Moriarty after his publication. Co-star Jack Quaid wrote:
“I love you Erin. We are all here for you. You are such an amazing and talented force of nature and I consider myself incredibly lucky to have met you. Keep shining bright. Leave the trolls to us. We’ve got your back.
While, Antony Starr, the Patriot himself wrote to him:
“I support you and what you say here 100%. Well said 😉 Your work on the show is and has always been stellar and you are beautiful inside and out. Keep shining”,
