Gary Oldman has a solid career as an actor and won the award oscar in 2018 for his work on the film “Darkest hour”but now He has his retirement in mind, and plans to do so after his work on the Apple TV + series “Slow horses”in which he plays a British intelligence officer.
In a recent interview with yahoo Oldman commented that he is satisfied with his achievements, but also is determined to do other activities apart from acting: “I will be 65 next year, 70 is just around the corner. I don’t want to be active when I’m 80 years old. I would feel very happy, honored and privileged to come out as Jackson Lamb -his character of him in the series-, and then leave it ”.
Gary also talked about his alcoholism and that he has been sober for 25 years.after being encouraged by her friend Demi Moore (with whom he shared credits on the tape “The scarlet letter”) to stop drinking. But he’s adamant about delving into the characters he plays, refusing to cut her hair for the new movie. Christopher Nolan because he continues to work on “Slow horse”: “I told Chris that I can’t cut it because I promise to play Lamb as long as the public likes the show and those people at the top want to write the checks. I’m growing into that character.”
