Pixar has refilled its basic premise “What if something had feelings?” to announce his new movie, ‘Elemental’, which, in the style of other premises such as “What if cars had feelings?”, “What if fish had feelings?” or “What if feelings had feelings?” Now ask what would happen if the elements of nature were alive. And they had feelings.

In the twenty-seventh film from Pixar we will explore a city where residents of earth, air, water and fire live together. There, Ember and Wade (literally Ember and Waterwalker) will meet: she, a hot young girl. He, a boy who lets things flow. Both will discover -oh, surprise- something elemental: what they have in common.
The film will be released on June 16, 2023, directed by Peter Sohn, the director of one of the most disappointing films in the production company’s history, ‘Arlo’s Journey’ (“What if dinosaurs had feelings?”). Sonn has relied on his childhood in New Yorkwhere his parents moved from Korea in the 1970s to open a store in the Bronx.
That mix of cultures, languages and neighborhoods was the source of ‘Elemental’: “Our story is based on the classic elements: fire, water, earth and air. Some elements come together with others, and some don’t. What if these elements were alive?“. One thing is clear: just in case, I’m going to reserve a package of Kleenex to cry at ease in a year.
