Among all the anime films that have sneaked into the premieres of the year, one of the most anticipated was ‘Sword Art Online Progressive: Scherzo of a Dark Dusk’. It has already positioned itself as the queen of the Japanese box office, surpassing ‘One Piece Film Red’, and although we still do not know if it will be released outside of Japan, we will be able to see the first part of the story in streaming.
From Aria to Scherzo
After the end of the spin-off ‘Sword Art Online: Alicization’, the light novel saga of Reki Kawahara it still had a lot to give and the world of ‘Sword Art Online’ continued to be explored through movies. That’s how it started ‘Sword Art Online: Progressive’, which retold the Aincrad arc from Asuna’s point of view.
In Spain we were left without being able to see it on the big screen at the time and see everything ‘Sword Art Online’ streaming is complicated, but luckily this month we will be able to see the first ‘Progressive’ movie.
Crunchyroll has confirmed that ‘Sword Art Online the Movie -Progressive- Aria of a Starless Night’ becomes available in its catalog from November 24. In Latin America it will arrive dubbed, while in Spain it can be seen in the original version with subtitles.
Let’s hope we don’t stay halfway with the story and also encourage them to bring the new movie to streaming when possible. The plot of ‘Aria of a Starless Night’ follows Asuna Yuki, a player trapped in the virtual world of Aincrad. In order to escape she must pass the hundred levels of the game, but if she loses she too will die in the real world.
