The production of Fantastic Four is still underway, and this production is joined by a new screenwriter, who is an expert in science fiction.
On February 14, 2025, the Marvel Cinematic Universe will see the debut of one of the most iconic teams in the House of Ideas, Fantastic Four, a film that has undergone a series of changes, and now this film will have a new screenwriter.
As SMASH timely informed you, Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer have joined as Fantastic Four writers, but the production is working on changing the tone of both writers’ work.
The Hollywood Reporter reported that Josh Friedman joins as a screenwriter for this new Marvel Studios movie, which has been announced since December 2020.
Friedman has experience writing films such as Avatar: Waterway, as well as creating and writing the television series Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, which led him to write the script for Terminator: Dark Fate, the latest installment of this franchise.
Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige knows that there are characters and teams that hold great importance in the Marvel Universe, and the Fantastic Four will be an important pillar for the future of Marvel Studios.
“People will start hearing more about it soon. We plan for it to be a big mainstay of the MCU going forward, just like they’ve been in the comics for 50 or 60 years.”
Directed by Matt Shakman, Marvel Studios’ Fantastic Four will hit theaters on February 14, 2025.
