Ezra Miller’s recent criminal history is well known, and despite this, it seems that none of his actions will have a particularly significant legal consequence at the moment. According to Vanity Fair, this is due to the confidentiality agreements with which the victims are being silenced.
We need to talk about Ezra
Among the multiple crimes that Miller accumulates to his credit are assaults, robberies, grooming to minors, physical and psychological abuse, possession of weapons, threats and a long etcetera. After a time disappeared from the radar of the law, Miller reappeared arguing that he had “serious mental health problems” and that he was going to be in treatment to solve them.
Leaving aside his sporadic arrests, it is striking that in most cases Miller has emerged from the altercations with practically no legal consequences against his person.
Vanity Fair confirmed the existence of confidentiality agreements with which the victims of several of Miller’s crimes are allegedly being silenced. According to various sources, an economic agreement is being reached with those affected to prevent them from filing chargeswhich could explain why, in cases such as the assault on a woman with a chair or the harassment of a couple in Hawaii, the complaints were finally withdrawn.
To this must be added the disturbing statements from Miller’s ex-fiancée in 2016, which comments on how made him “gas light”: She tried to convince her friends that she was an abusive person and, when she complained of disrespect, the interpreter denied her responsibility and called her an abuser. By her account, Miller broke up with her after hiring a spiritual advisor who considered her “a parasite.”
All this only adds fuel to the fire about the uncertain future of ‘The Flash’, Warner’s ambitious bid to promote the DC shared universe and that continues to hang in the balance.
