‘Big Brother’-style realities seem to be the goose that lays the golden eggs on Telecinco (or, at least, they work well enough for it to chain one after another on its grid). ‘Nightmare in Paradise’ it is one of the next releases that you have prepared for this year and that comes to occupy the gap of ‘Survivors’ and ‘The island of temptations’.
Format
‘Nightmare in Paradise’ is the facelift of ‘The Farm’, a format that has already been made for four seasons in Spain (two on Antena 3 and another two on Telecinco, the last one under the title ‘Acorralados: Aventuras en the forest’). The reality will consist of confront a series of celebrities to life in a rural settingdeprived of many of the comforts of modern life.
The original format is Swedish and it has already been versioned in 30 countries. revolves around the coexistence of the participants and how they perform tasks from caring for animals to growing food. Like ‘Survivors’ or ‘Big Brother’, they will be made periodic deletions until there is only one winner left.
Mediaset has commented on its desire to change things with respect to previous programs, mainly the option to record the program and not be livealthough it has not yet been confirmed if it will finally be done like this.
Participants
Telecinco is confirming from time to time the identity of the celebrities who will participate in the reality show, which will rise to a total of 16. At the moment, these are the confirmed ones:
