Announced in June 2021, the North American network The CW has finally commissioned as a series ‘The Winchesters’, the prequel to ‘Supernatural’ (Supernatural) starring the parents of the brothers Dean and Sam.
With a landing on our screens scheduled for the next seasonwe are going to review everything we know about ‘The Winchesters’.
The history
The concept of ‘The Winchesters’ comes from the hand of Jensen AcklesDean in the mother series, who acknowledged wanting to know more about his character’s parents (originally played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Samantha Smith), how they met and what they lived through:
“After finishing season 15 of ‘Supernatural,’ we knew it wasn’t over. Because as we say in the series “Nothing ever ends, right?” When Dannell and I formed Chaos Machine Productions, we knew that the first story we wanted to tell was the story of John and Mary Winchester, the origin story of ‘Supernatural.’ I always thought my character, Dean, would have wanted to know more about his parents’ relationship and how it came about.”.
So the series will be that: the epic and untold love story of how John and Mary met and how they managed to save not only their love but the entire world. The past of both characters has been explored throughout the 15 seasons of the series and some other comics.
It is the description of the characters that gives us a better idea: Mary Campbell is 19 years old and has been fighting dark forces since she was little. After losing someone close to her, the huntress considers leaving her family business until the disappearance of her father and the arrival of John Winchester forces her to lead a new team.
For its part, John just got back from VietnamClear-headed and selfless, the veteran finds a new mission at home, where traces of his father’s past lead him to a secret organization and a new war as a hunter.

the release date
