In 2003 Australian actor eric bana (who rose to fame from movies like “Chopper” and Black Hawk down) starred in the blockbuster “Hulk”directed by ang lee and based on the comics of Marvel. The film received mixed reviews, at a time when superhero films still did not have overwhelming success worldwide.
Despite the fact that several actors have returned to interpret characters such as Spider-Man and Wolverine in films from those studies -specifically in which the “multiverse” is handled, giving rise to new appearances- Bana has no plans to return as the Hulkand he made it known in a recent interview with Yahoo Entertainment on the occasion of the promotion of his most recent work Blueback: “I think that the film works that I have done since then are the answer to that question. I haven’t seen “Hulk” in a long time.”
Eric was also asked about his experience in the 2003 film, and although he said he really liked working with nick nolte, it was the rest of the shoot – which involved computer animation – that was ultimately frustrating: “I always felt like I was working on a low-budget movie…I was in a room with another actor (Nolte) doing normal things. It never felt like a big film until I sat down and watched it finished…I think we did some motion capture, but (the team members) realized that wasn’t really helping them, given the technology that was out there at the time. That was very primitive then, because it was still very early for all those things. So I didn’t really have much to do in terms of playing the Hulk.”
