We agree that at least once we have not all taken the wrong route to go somewhere, and although many of us are at a very advanced level of cluelessness, there are those who can easily beat us. As is the case of an English couple who visited France and on their return ended up stranded in Spain.
We learned about this novelty due to a testimony that The Mirror shared, where he claims that travelers Elise, 33, and Jessy, 41, could not believe that the plane that was supposed to take them home landed in a country 1,300 kilometers from their home.
According to the couple, they arrived in Marseille to see the city and enjoy a soccer match in the professional league known as Seria A. On the way back to England an hour after the flight, Jessy said she heard the flight attendant say Madrid, but both believed that they had imagined it. However, minutes before landing, the couple noticed that all the flight attendants spoke Spanish, something that seemed very strange to them.
It was not until they got off the plane that they realized their mistake, since they were at an unknown and wrong airport. This pair indicated that they scanned their boarding pass three times and did not understand how they ended up on another plane. And although both they and the flight attendants were very puzzled, they finally understood what happened because Ryanair explained it.
It turns out that Elise and Jessy boarded through the correct gate, but did not follow the route assigned to the plane leaving for London, as they crossed an unauthorized area and thus boarded the wrong flight.
Finally, the lovebirds arrived home five hours later than planned, but they did not miss the opportunity to get to know a little about Madrid while their flight took off back to England.
