American actor Eddie Murphy will be recognized with the Cecil B. DeMille Award for Lifetime Achievement; will be given to you during the ceremony of the golden globewhich will take place on January 10, 2023.
The president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, Helen Hoehneissued a statement announcing the decision to award Murphy, who began his career at the stand upto later be part of the cast of the television program “Saturday night Live” and later to become one of the most popular stars in comedy cinema: “We are honored to present this year’s Cecil B. DeMille Award to the iconic and highly regarded Mr. Eddie Murphy. We are delighted to celebrate the lasting impact on film and television that his career, in front of and behind the camera, has made over the decades.”
Eddie has been nominated for a Golden Globe six times.obtaining the award in 2007 for his work on the film Dreamgirls. He is currently working on the fourth part of the saga of “Beverly Hills cop”to be released next year by Netflix.
