This Thursday, June 9, ‘Jurassic World: Dominion’ hits Spanish cinemas, the sixth installment of the franchise started almost 30 years ago by Steven Spielberg with the unforgettable ‘Jurassic Park’, which brings back the three protagonists of this last. For this reason, it is a golden opportunity to catch up with the saga or to refresh previous adventures, but I already anticipate that You are going to have a very difficult time if you want to do it using streaming platforms.
Where to stream the movies that are available
To this day, both ‘Jurassic Park’ and ‘The Lost World: Jurassic Park’ and ‘Jurassic Park III’ are not available on any platform. If you want to see it, you will have to use your collection in physical format, resorting to renting or buying digitally or any other solution that comes to mind, but none of your Spanish streaming services will give you the option to see it inside of the monthly fee you pay.
In the case of ‘Jurassic World’ and ‘Jurassic World: The Fallen Kingdom’, that option does exist, since the first can be seen on Movistar +, while the second is available on Netflix. Of course, who knows how much longer they will be available there, because everything indicates that Universal is letting the licenses of its films expire ahead of the imminent arrival of SkyShowtime.
I suspect that this will also affect the streaming arrival of ‘Jurassic World: Dominion’ in our country, since it would not make much sense to cede the streaming rights to the competition. It will be necessary to see if there is some type of prior agreement that commits them, but do not be surprised that they spend a long time missing. Come on, the same thing that is still happening in the case of ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’.
And if that happens with such popular movies, imagine with other much less known titles…
