The serial adaptation that Disney is preparing of ‘Percy Jackson’, the popular youth saga created by Rick Riordan, already has a trailer. At the D23 Expo this first advance that returns us to the magical world of Greek godswhich has the approval of Riordan himself.

‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ is the popular youth saga written by Rick Riordan, which presents us with a magical world where the protagonist discovers that he is the son of a god. It has a multitude of spin-off books and a loyal community of fans who they were not entirely satisfied with the previous adaptation what became of history.
Chris Columbus (‘Gremlins’) brought to the screen, in 2010 and 2013, the first two books with a correct box office performance but apparently not enough to adapt the entire pentalogy. Almost 10 years after that first attempt, Disney+ surprised us by announcing its intention to give it a second life to history in serial form.
Finally we can see a first trailer of this new adaptation. This first look shows several of the important elements of the world of Percy and his friends: Camp Half-Blood, Poseidon’s hut, and Percy’s first-person narrative. In addition, on this occasion they have kept the original age of the character: 12 years old compared to the 16 he had in the film, where the protagonists were teenagers.
This new adaptation has the active participation of Rick Riordan and will star Walker Scobell (‘The Adam Project’). leah jeffries (‘The beast’), aryan simhadri (‘Twelve at home’), Jason Mantzoukas (‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine), megan mullally (‘The disaster artist’) and Virginia Kull (‘Big Little Lies’) round out the cast.
The ‘Percy Jackson’ series does not yet have a release date but, according to the trailer, it will premiere soon on the Disney+ platform.
