Sooner or later, justice arrives, and the judicial system in Chile set an educational precedent by sentencing Darth Vader, who will serve an exemplary sentence.
The villain of the Star Wars saga, Darth Vader, managed to get the Chilean justice in an unusual educational trial to lower the sentence against him on Sunday for which he had been sentenced to be frozen in perpetuity.

This was decided by the Court of Appeals of Valparaíso, 120 km west of Santiago, in a striking educational exercise to bring citizens closer to the work of the courts within the framework of Heritage Day that was celebrated this weekend.
Anakin Skywalker, Darth Vader’s real name, was judged to have cut off his son Luke Skywalker’s hand, something that occurs in Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. It was determined that “what is being condemned is the mutilation (…) and not what Mr. Vader did before“.
For this reason andBearing in mind the penalties established in the spatial penal code (…), he will be sentenced to the just penalty, which is to remain frozen for 30 years in carbonite, to be prohibited from approaching the victim, Luke, for 30 years for at least three planets away“, determined the court.
Justice also punished Vader, who was totally and perpetually disabled for the “dark use of force” and lightsaber.
You were the chosen one, Anakin!
“I only ask for nothing more and nothing less than justice,” declared Darth Vader’s lawyer, Juan Carlos Manríquez.
“He is a human being with rights, even if only in part. (…) Vader is almost a machine, but he is also a man. he is a father“, when remembering that the aggressor is the parent of the victim.
“What we wanted to do today is to bring justice, so little understood, closer to the citizenry. So that they can see what is done in a Court of Appeals, because people know a lot about trials and courts, but not the function that is carried out here“, explained the president of the Court of Appeals, María del Rosario Lavín.
“In my judicial career I have had terribly bad criminals, so it is not news” the presence of someone like Darth Vader, said the magistrate.
During Heritage Day, institutions, museums and organizations from all over the country, including the La Moneda presidential palace, opened their doors for free to share their heritage with the community.
