Released in 2015, Daredevil introduced audiences to Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock, a blind lawyer secretly employed as a crime-fighting vigilante. The series ran for 39 episodes over three seasons before being cancelled, along with the other Marvel Netflix series Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and The Punisher. All five series, plus the Defenders miniseries, were recently moved to Disney+.”
A few months ago, the appearance of Cox’s Murdock in Spider-Man: No Way Home and the return of Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin in Hawkeye made us dream, and almost ensure that the character would be retaken for something bigger like a own series or movie. However, it was unclear if this was a multiversal variant of the character or a follow-up to Netflix’s Daredevil.
Now that we know it will be the latter, we can only hope that the fourth season will have the same quality that the program accustomed us to.
