Conceptual artist Aaron Black, who was part of the visual design team at Marvel Studios, shared a series of concept arts on his ArtStation illustrator network profile, which are considered discarded scenes for Sam Raimi’s film.
One of them introduces us to Nightmare, who begins to destroy the real dimension and what appears to be the mirror dimension, which protects reality from possible effects by sorcery.
In the comics Nightmare is a villain who appeared in the pages of Doctor Strange #110 (created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko).

However, this idea, like the appearance of Nightmare, was discarded by Sam Raimi in the filming of the tape, which accumulated 995 million dollars at the box office worldwide.
