By Alberto Rojas Eguiluz
It’s no secret: CNCO says goodbye with XOXOas we had told you a few months ago.
CNCO says goodbye with new album
Before saying goodbye, they spoke exclusively with you online about what inspired this album and of course, his farewell. First let’s go to the music part.
His first single: Miami
Zabadiel: It was where we met, where we were created, that’s why it’s a very special space for us. we chose Miami to lead this album because it’s very different from what we’ve done, it’s a kind of afrobeat and that’s why we did it with Belee, we thought it was interesting to do it with him, people liked it.
XOXOhis riskiest album
Rich: Over the years we got to know each other a lot and we know that each one of us has a particular genre, a different flow. That’s why we wanted to play the genres that each of us love and that we hadn’t been able to do, we wanted to do something more genuine in XOXOthe things that we listen to and that we have in our playlist, but most of all, we wanted to do something new for our fans and for ourselves.
The Kenya OS Collaboration
Zabadiel: We had already recorded the song and the video. The plan was to take it out ourselves, but one day Kenia listened to it before she came out and she loved it, she recorded her part very quickly and sent it to us. She turned out very well and she did the same with the video, she is so professional that it was very easy to do this. She ended up contributing a lot to the theme because of her style.
What did you like most about this album?
Christopher: The process took time, it wasn’t complicated but it was extensive because we were in Puerto Rico with Wisin writing quite a few songs. From there we went to Miami and other countries to compose, they spent several months writing and then came the process of choosing the songs for the album, we also enjoyed that part a lot because it is the last one released by CNCO, we wanted this album to come out of us and the 90 percent is. There is a song that Zabadiel worked on producing, which is The doubtso we feel it a more personal project of us.
We know you are sad about CNCO’s departure, but we remind you that this is only the first part of the interview. Later we will publish the rest that is very interesting, because they tell us about their farewell and the plans they have. Enjoy CNCO while they’re still together!
