His beginnings were as a youtuber and from there he was encouraged to write a whole fantasy trilogy where he created a unique world and super interesting characters. Claudia Ramírez Lomelí closed her trilogy with the eclipse court and that was what he told us.
Claudia Ramírez Lomelí liked books so much that she created her own youtube channelto talk about them. Since he created quite a respectable community (he currently has more than 650 thousand subscribers), he was encouraged to do what he always wanted to do: write. Thus began the world of Fenrai
The fantastic world where the Claudia trilogy takes place began with two characters: one of the sun and the other of the moon. She later created the territories, the maps, the religion of each territory, the gods, the festivities, the legends, the magic system and all the small details that make this trilogy a delight for her readers.
“It was like a ball of yarn that starts small and starts to grow,” recalls the author.
It was not difficult for him to create this world
Claudia tells us that people tell her that it must be very difficult to invent a whole fantastic world, but for her it’s the other way around.
“If I set out to write a novel in the real world, I wouldn’t know what to tell, there we have our rules and limitations, for me the challenge would be to write something from the real world, on the other hand, in fantastic worlds I don’t struggle,” he confesses.
The reason is that, since she was a girl, she has liked fantastic literature and it has made her feel that she belongs to that world. She has no trouble creating these worlds because they have lived in her head for a long time.
The challenge of The Court of Eclipse was…
This was the biggest challenge Claudia Ramírez Lomelí has had as a writer because of all the expectations she had generated.
“This book is the end and it had to be satisfactory, I had to give something to say that this trip was worth it, those expectations made me afraid of the book, it was a monster that I did not want to face, I felt that I was not prepared ”, Clau tells us.
In addition, his characters went through complex things and in order to write it he got into his head, his heart and his skin. “In the end you have to tie all the loose ends, give resolution to all the characters, everything I started in the other books had to close it and close it well,” he says.

His YouTube channel and his work are connected
Claudia says that if she hadn’t started making videos of books she wouldn’t have written her trilogy.
“In my videos I always talk about fantasy, it is what I read the most and what I recommend the most. My audience is very interested in it and when I announced that I was going to write they were already interested in it. Everything is connected, it makes a lot of coherence with who I am. Without one, the other would not exist”, explains Clau.
The ritual of Claudia Ramírez Lomelí: writing at night
Like many writers, Claudia has her own rituals. She tells us that she only writes at night, “like from 12 at night to 5 in the morning, I have a very strange schedule,” she tells us. “I have to write at night, which is when the city shuts down, no one is going to bother me on my cell phone, the night is my sanctuary to write.”
He remembers that he was recommended to write in a cafe and he could never write anything, but he knows that there are people for whom it works.
I also put aromas, in incense, in candles, in diffusers, I don’t actively smell it but it kind of creates an environment.

Do you want to be a writer like Claudia Ramírez Lomelí? These are her best tips.
Believe in yourself. Our worst enemy is ourselves. Young people have a story to tell, whether it’s yours or the one you want to tell. She believes in your voice and that she deserves to be heard.
Reads a lot. To be able to write you have to read. That helps to know what you like and what you don’t, to know what clichés you can adapt to your way of writing or what things you don’t want to include in what you do.
Don’t wait for inspiration. Sometimes we get every leap year (laughs). I used it as an excuse, but that way you will never advance. Commit yourself three days a week from such time to such time to such time, that will help you finish your stories. Many people tell me that they start their works but do not finish them, if you set a schedule, the moment will come when you will finish. That helped me finish my trilogy, when I had to write, I did it even if I was lazy.
