Superman is back (if he’s ever been gone) but this time in an animated format. The American channel Adult Swim has released the trailer for ‘My Adventures with Superman‘, the new DC superhero series that will premiere on July 6 (and the next day on Max).
With Jack Quaid (‘The Boys’) giving voice to Clark Kent, this new animated series introduces us to the last son of Krypton trying to have a normal life in his twenties. However, he won’t have it easy as he starts working at the Daily Planet and tries to hide his Superman identity as much as possible from his co-workers. Among them, of course, Jimmy Olsen and Lois Lane.
The first series in 23 years
The original voice cast features Alice Lee as Lois Lane and Ishmel Sahid as Jimmy Olsen. In addition, the cast is completed by Jeannie Tirado, Kiana Madeira and Michael Yurchak, among others. Behind the series is Jake Wyatt as creator, and Sam Register, usual executive producer of Warner’s animation department (to highlight ‘Teen Titans Go!’), as the head of the series.
‘My Adventures with Superman’ turns out to be the superhero’s first solo animated series from the end of ‘Superman: The Animated Series’ from the 90s. Then we saw him starring in ‘Justice League Action’ and appearing in other series. In Spain we expect it to arrive via HBO Max, but it is not, for the moment, confirmed.
