According to a source cited recently by page sixthe movie star, famous for his role as Thor, does not plan to retire, but has decided to slow down and take a break from his film career after discovering the high risk of suffering from the progressive disease in his old age due to certain genetic factors.
In November 2022, Chris Hemsworth learned that he was eight to 10 times more likely to develop Alzheimer’s than the average person. The unfortunate news was made public as part of the docuseries of National Geographic about the marvel star Limitless with Chris Hemsworth.
The discovery, as revealed by the actor to the US edition of Vanity Fair, would become his biggest fear. Immediately after the heartbreaking announcement, Chris announced that he would be “taking a break.” Instead of shooting several movies a year as usual, he will significantly reduce his presence in Hollywood in the future.
