In 2010 Chloë Grace Moretz had a co-starring role in the superhero movie “Kick Ass”and although then she already had more than ten films in her career, the character of Hit-Girl made her known to millions of viewers. Now she was ready to participate in a third film in that saga, as long as director Matthew Vaughn took over the project.
In a recent interview with Yahoo Entertainment Chloë commented on why the plans for a third film about the superhero played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson dissipated, after Vaughn didn’t direct the sequel in 2013: “I think we were all really excited about having Matt Vaughn coming back, and I think that’s what we were all looking for as a cast. Then, I think if the stars align, there’s a chance for a third movie.”
The actress (currently promoting the series “The peripheral” of Amazon Prime Video) also compared the formula of “Kick Ass” -which combines characters from comics, action and violence for adults- with the one used in the saga of “Dead Pool”. “It’s interesting to see the character of Deadpool and that whole world, because I feel like it’s very similar to the world of Hit-Girl in the sense that I could see that kind of trajectory for a Kick-Ass 3, if there was one, and how much fun it would be if we could integrate it. But I think that It’s up to Matthew Vaughn, and whether he wants to get into it or not.and if the right group of minds were behind it all.”
