Actress Chloë Grace Moretz revealed that several years ago she suffered from anxiety and body dysmorphiaafter a meme made fun of his body went viral, adapting the image to that of a character from the cartoon series “family guy”.
In an interview that Moretz – 25 years old – offered to the magazine Hunger revealed that the meme made her feel very insecure about her body, to such an extent that when she went to an event and they photographed her, she suffered from hyperventilation and her heart began to beat very fast: “I remember thinking ‘My body is being used as a joke and it’s something I can’t change about who I am, and it’s posted all over Instagram. Until this day when I see it, it is something for me that is difficult to overcome.
Nevertheless, the coronavirus pandemic caused Chloë to hide her face under a mask, which made her gradually feel more sure of herself. She has not stopped working, and is currently promoting the series “The peripheral”which will be released on October 21 in Amazon Prime Video. “To say that these last two years have been transformational is an understatement, to say the least. I am a very different girl than I was. Now I feel like a woman,” she concluded.
