the rapper Cardi B. finally broke the silence about how she and Offset, her husband and member of the Hip Hop trio friends, they found out about the death of their partner and best friend, Takeoff. The singer said that Offset got super sick to the point where he was throwing up.
“We went to sleep and I don’t know… out of nowhere, Offset’s cell phone rang, my cell phone rang… Offset answered the cell phone and said: noooo. He was yelling and yelling…and yelling like: nooooo, noooo, noooo. I asked: – What is happening? -. Offset said: Takeoff is dead. I told him: -Don’t say that.. Don’t say that. And he was screaming throwing things, running, throwing up. And I was just very scared…”, this is how he described Cardi B the moment Offset got the call.
Let’s remember that Takeoff was shot leaving a party in Texas. The other member of Migos, Quavowho is also the uncle of the deceased, was at the scene and could be seen in several of the videos that the police collected to determine who had been responsible.
At that time it was only said that it had been due to a basketball discussion. Takeoff was 28 years old and the Sheriff’s coroner’s report determined who died at the scene from shots to the head and chest.
In December a man was arrested and charged with the murder of a Migos member: Patrick Xavier Clark, 33 years old. Another person who was with him and who would have to do with the crime was also arrested. Corresponds to the name of 22 year old Cameron Joshua. The charge against the latter is illegal possession of weapons.
Between the successes and the legacy he leaves Takeoff beside Quavo Y Offset are his songs ‘Bad and Boujee’ and ‘Atlanta’. Undoubtedly a loss from which Offset and Cardi B are having a hard time recovering.
