“‘FACE’ is all about Jimin facing himself as he prepares for his next move as a solo artist,” he explained in a post on his Twitter profile, which also featured the album cover image.
The artist and band BTS’s agency, BigHit Music, added that on this album, Jimin will “show his own world of music with a distinct voice and delicate interpretation.”
Jimin, who debuted with the BTS group in 2013, has released several solo songs in the past such as “Lie”, “Serendipity” or “With You” and more recently, he collaborated with BIGBANG vocalist Taeyang on the song ” Vibe”.
Other members of the band are also working on their own projects, such as J-Hope, who released his first solo album “Jack in the Box” on July 15, and which was the first to be released after the well-known boy band will announce a temporary disbandment in June.
RM, the leader of the band, also released his first solo studio album “Indigo” on December 2.
BTS, top representatives of the K-Pop musical phenomenon, announced last June their temporary separation nine years after their musical debut and pointed out that this decision was due to exhaustion derived from the constant production rate, which has made them one of the bands most listened to internationally.
In addition to working on their solo careers, the seven members of the popular ensemble will also complete mandatory military service in their country, which lasts a minimum of 18 months, with the intention of reuniting as a band around 2025.
