In 2018, the year of release of the sequel to Jurassic World, Fallen Kingdom, Information surfaced of a pay gap among the film’s cast. He made sure that Bryce Dallas Howard was they had paid him 2 million dollars less than his co-star Chris Pratt, who was given 8 million dollars for his work.
Four years after the release of the film, the actress gave an interview to Insider magazine where she shared that, in fact, the salary difference was much greater.
“The reports were very interesting because I was paid much less than the reports said, much less,” Howard said in the article published Monday. “When I started trading for Jurassic, it was 2014, it was a different world, and I was at a huge disadvantage. And unfortunately, you have to sign up for three movies, so your deals are set,” he assured.
Howard would make up the money lost on his original deal for the trilogy with the complementary income, and it was Pratt himself who offered to help the actress to get a fair share.
“What I will say is that Chris and I discussed it, and every time there was an opportunity to move the needle on things that hadn’t been negotiated yet, like a game or a trip, he literally said to me, ‘You don’t even have to do anything. . I’m going to do all the negotiating. They’re going to pay us the same, and you don’t have to think about this, Bryce,'” Howard shared. “And I love him so much for doing that. I really do, because I’ve been paid more for that kind of stuff than for the movie,” he said.

Fallen Kingdom made more than 1.3 billion dollarsand the Most recent Dominion so far raised over 974M. That movie directed by Colin Trevorrow, who also directed the original Jurassic World, hit theaters on June 10 and is currently the second highest-grossing big-screen title of the year behind Paramount’s “Top Gun: Maverick.”
Dominion will be released tomorrow on digital, Blu-ray and DVD. Up next for Howard is the spy flick “Argylle,” which Matthew Vaughn directed for Apple TV+. A release date has not yet been set.
