For those who dream of getting married, a wedding can be one of the most important events of their lives, as it is the day their hearts join the person they love the most. That is why many girls take care of even the smallest detail, so that their dream day is perfect.
The definition of a perfect wedding is different depending on who you ask, because there are those who are happy with a simple celebration, since the most important thing is to be with the person they love and there are those who want to celebrate in a big way, in the company of all your family and friends. In both cases, the couple always tries to make all their guests (many or few) feel comfortable at the party and, of course, they seek to include them in the best possible way.
The best bridal party
An American bride named Lyndsey Raby decided to make her special day unforgettable not only for her, but for her family and specifically her grannies. You see, Lyndsey knew right away that she wanted to involve her grandmothers in her wedding in a more direct way than usual.
Instead of opting for the youngest members of the family as part of the bride’s traditional wedding party, Lyndsey asked her grandmothers to throw flower petals on her way down the aisle. Lyndsey is one of those lucky ones who still retains her grandmothers in adulthood, so she had no problem putting together her courtship.
The flower “girls” were her 90-year-old great-grandmother, Kathleen Brown; her boyfriend’s grandmother, Joyce Raby, 70; Lyndsey’s grandmother, Wanda Grant, 76, and the bride’s other grandmother, Betty Brown, 72.
As soon as I got engaged I knew I wanted my grandmothers to be a part of the celebration. I feel very lucky to still have all of them, so I wanted to get them involved.
Although Lyndsey was super happy to have them all with her, the most excited were the grannies, to the point that the bride even says that they were more excited than her bridesmaids.
As soon as she pitched the idea to her fiancé, Tanner Raby, he fully supported her, thinking it was a great idea and knowing it would be a very meaningful gesture for them.
