“Succession” is one of the most successful television series, but now the Scottish actor Brian Coxwho plays tycoon Logan Roy in the story, criticized the method that his partner Jeremy Strong uses to interpret the character of the tormented Kendall.
In a recent interview with Town & Country Cox was very clear in calling Roy’s acting technique “f******** annoying. Don’t make me go any further. Knowing a character and what they do is only part of the skill set. (Jeremy) feels that if he went somewhere else he would lose it. But that won’t happen! Strong is talented. When you have that gift, he celebrates the gift. He goes back to your trailer and smokes some pot, you know?”
Jeremy Strong has always been aware of what Brian thinks about his acting.and in statements for G.Q. He spoke about it: “Everyone has the right to have their feelings. Brian Cox, for example, has earned the right to say whatever the f*********** wants. There was no need to address that or damage control…I’m still going to do whatever it takes to serve whatever, which isn’t to say that’s the same as stomping on other people. It has to do with autonomous concentration. It’s a very lonely thing. I think there’s very little impact on others, except for what they might want to project and how that might make them feel.” The new season of “Succession” will premiere on March 26 on HBO.
