After this series was unveiled at the San Diego Comic-Con 2022, many doubts have been generated in relation to this project, especially if this series is a fourth season of the program that was broadcast on the most popular streaming platform. .
In an interview with IGN, after presenting the series at D23, Charlie Cox made it clear that Daredevil: Born Again is a reboot of the franchise, taking up previously known elements.
“I don’t think it means we’re going to tell Frank Miller’s story from Born Again in the comics… I don’t think it means that… We did the (Netflix) show, it’s over, it’s been years, and we’re doing another show. It’s a perfect title”.
Charlie Cox pointed out that unlike the three seasons under the production of Jeph Loeb, the working method of Marvel Studios is different in certain ways and therefore Born Again is a suitable title for this project.
“Born Again is an iconic Daredevil run in the comics and it’s a great title for our show because we’re doing this show again in a new way… I think the show will have a slightly different tone, I don’t know how yet, I haven’t read anything yet . We’re doing 18 episodes, so that tells me the structure and the way we’re going to tell our story is going to be slightly different.”.
Daredevil: Born Again will hit digital platforms in spring 2024, before both Charlie Cox as Daredevil and Vincent D’Onofrio as Kingpin will return in Echo.
