After the death -on September 8- of queen elizabeth ii many celebrities expressed their condolences through their social networks; however, certain personalities had not given their opinion on the matter until now, one of them being Bondsinger of the Irish rock group U2.
During a talk he had in the most recent edition of the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI, for its acronym in English), Bond -whose real name is Paul Hewson– highlighted what the actions of the sovereign leave in him: “You know, the Irish have a complicated relationship with royalty, but I will say this: that What we know about Queen Elizabeth II is that if she had a promise to keep, she kept it, and we miss that.”
The 62-year-old interpreter continued: “We will miss that, and I am sure that the values that she defended and embodied will be needed tomorrow, We will need our friends in the UK to be with us tomorrow, and our hearts go out to them.”
Bono is currently working on a new album with his group., which could be released in early 2023; Already He has a book of his memories ready, titled “Surrender: 40 songs, one story”which will go on sale next November.
