The band would appear at three music festivals in Mexico, both in the border Tijuana, the capital of Nuevo León and in three shows of the band at the Palacio de los Deportes in Mexico City.
Cancellation of Blink 182 in CDMX, Tijuana and Monterrey
The news was announced by Tom DeLonge, who through a video broadcast on social networks in which he apologized to all the fans who were ready to vibrate at these concerts and large festivals, but for an injury suffered by drummer Travis Barker , they had to cancel all their subsequent performances.
What happened to Travis Barker?
Travis Barker had an injury that led to the need for an urgent operation on one of his fingers, so all the events planned in Mexico, Chile, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia and Peru were cancelled.
“We just had one of those accidents that nobody saw coming. Travis needs surgery on his finger. And he has to take care of it before anything else happens,” the Blink-182 member commented.
“It is very sad news, we had prepared a lot to meet you,” Delonge mentions. Their participation would be in large festivals throughout the region and they assure that it will be in 2024 that they will recover the dates planned for Mexico City.
