The story of Black Adam will go on pause, since the sequel will not continue in the DC Universe, as confirmed by both The Rock and James Gunn
The DC Universe has changed its hierarchy, but not in the way that Teth Adam wanted, since Black Adam 2 is not still in the plans of the DC Universe, something that both Dwayne Johnson ‘The Rock’ and James Gunn have confirmed.
Don’t Miss: Enjoy the first 10 minutes of Black Adam!
In 2007 New Line Cinema chose The Rock as the interpreter of Black Adam, in a film that took 12 years to make, derived from creative processes and the pause due to the Covid pandemic that affected the entire planet.
On social networks, Dwayne Johnson ‘The Rock’ shared a statement where he announced that the sequel to Black Adam 2 does not go ahead in DC’s plans, but both he and his production company Seven Bucks will continue to collaborate with DC Studios.

“James Gunn and I hooked up, and Black Adam won’t be in his first storytelling chapter. However, DC and Seven Bucks have agreed to continue exploring the more valuable ways Black Adam can be utilized in future chapters of DC’s multiverse.”.
Vote of confidence in the DC Universe
Johnson, who in recent days dismissed rumors of a break with DC Comics and Warner Bros., has declared that he will be willing to support James Gunn and Peter Safran in the new era that DC Studios is about to embark on.
“James and I have known each other for years and have always supported each other to succeed. It’s no different now, and I’ll always root for DC (and Marvel) to win and win big… These decisions made by James and DC leadership represent his vision for the DCU through his creative lens..”
James Gunn thanked Dwayne Johnson and his work on his social networks, and hopes that Seven Bucks and DC Studios will soon join forces on future projects.

Black Adam had it all. The power of the gods, the adoration of his compatriots, and the love of Isis, his beautiful queen. Then, in an instant, everything was horribly taken from him.
And this nearly unstoppable being launched into a bloody revenge, barely contained by the combined might of the world’s superheroes. They stripped the man named Teth-Adam of the magic that made him a threat, but that loss was nothing compared to the death of his beloved wife.
