Warner’s thing with ‘Batgirl’ never ceases to amaze us. First the cancellation when it was already shot they had already spent about 100 million of it, then they had deleted the material from the servers and their own directors had been left without access to it. The last one is that there will be secret screenings of the DC movie before it’s buried forever.
That is what The Hollywood Reporter has exclusively revealed, and also that these passes will take place this week, which have been described as projections as a funeral. Of course, do not expect to have access to them, since are thinking for those who worked on the filmfrom cast members to crew members, but also to representatives and executives.
Also, ‘Batgirl’ wasn’t really done yet, as the visual effects were still unfinished, as was the soundtrack. And obviously the assembly itself was also going to undergo changes. That does not mean that Warner would have already done a test pass and those attending it will be the only people in the public who will see it.
After these passes Warner will keep all available material from ‘Batgirl’ under lock and key. And it is that here it is impossible for something like what happened with ‘Zack Snyder’s Justice League’ to happen, since its cancellation was motivated by a tax saving issue and taking it up again later would put the studio in a legal mess.
