One of Sony’s Spider-Man Universe projects coming in 2014 is El Muerto, and the studio CEO has no doubts about Bad Bunny’s ability to succeed at Marvel.
In 2024, Sony’s Spider-Man Universe expands with a new proposal with El Muerto, a film starring Bad Bunny, who is predicted a great success by the CEO of Sony Pictures.

Within the framework of Cinemacon 2022, Sony Pictures announced that it is preparing a project alongside Marvel where Bad Bunny will play El Muerto, a character of Mexican descent, and the first Latino superhero to have his own film in the Spider-Verse. Man from Sony.
The CEO of Sony Pictures, Tony Vinciquerra, predicts that El Muerto will be the ideal opportunity for Bad Bunny to occupy an important place in the history of Marvel in the cinema.

“Bad Bunny is going to be a big Marvel star, we are very excited about that” commented the executive of the Japanese company, who also confirmed that Aaron Taylor-Johnson is still in the filming of Kraven the Hunter.

The powers and mask of the super-powerful wrestler El Muerto have been passed down from generation to generation. Each fighter had to prove himself to his oppressor, El Dorado, in order to stay alive and retain his powers.
After preparing for 10 years, El Muerto staged a mask vs. mask match against Spider-Man, whom he nearly defeated, but Spidey used his stingers to paralyze El Muerto. Spider-Man rescued El Muerto from the hospital when El Dorado, who is his enemy, came to claim his life. El Muerto helped Spider-Man defeat El Dorado.
The Dead Man joins productions from Sony’s Spider-Man Universe such as Madame Web and Kraven, both of which will be released in 2023.
