Grand Fiesta Americana Oaxaca received the Porcelanosa International Project Award 2022 (PIPA) in the hotel sector category, an award that internationally recognizes the best in architecture and interior design.

“We are extremely proud to have been recognized internationally for this architectural gem. This award places us as an international benchmark of Mexican culture, every corner of our hotel represents the ancestral history of Oaxaca. Here our guests will find a small sample of how much Oaxaca has to offer,” said Manuel Galán, director of operations at Posadas.

Is architectural piece that places Mexican talent in the international spotlight was in charge of the Tres Más Dos architects office.
“We wanted to develop this hotel as a tribute to oaxaca. The pre-Hispanic and colonial constructions, archaeological zones and its vibrant craftsmanship were a source of inspiration to achieve the architectural and interior design of the hotel”, commented Alejandra Serna, co-founder and creative director of Tres Más Dos.
The celebration was also attended by Francisco Martínez, municipal president of Oaxaca; Adriana Vargas, Director of Tourism Promotion for the State of Oaxaca and Alfredo Enríquez, General Director of Porcelanosa Mexico.

As part of the celebration at the Grand Fiesta Americana Oaxaca we were able to taste authentic dishes from the state: a pumpkin guide soup; land and sea tlayudas with beans, cheese, garlic shrimp, jerky and chorizo; pumpkin flan, among others.
Porcelanosa Group, specialized in the manufacture and sale of building materials, created the Porcelanosa International Project Award (PIPA) to highlight the creativity of architects from all over the world. Out of a total of 123 projects for four categories, the Grand Fiesta Americana Oaxaca hotel was awarded in the hotel sector.
