Buzz Aldrin, one of the astronauts who was part of the Apollo 11 expedition that reached the moon for the first time, married at the age of 93.
Aldrin, in addition to being an astronaut, is a graduate of a mechanical engineer, and was also a pilot in the United States Air Force.
Before this last marriage, he had already been married three times.
The first time was in 1954, with Joan Ann Archer, with whom he was for 20 years, and with whom he had three children.
Later he married Beverly Van Zile for three years, from 75 to 78 and later with Lois Driggs Cannon, with whom he divorced 11 years ago.
But the news is that he married a woman 30 years younger, or so they let him see on social networks.
The astronaut himself, through his Twitter account, announced that he had married.
“On my 93rd birthday and the day I will also be honored by the Living Legends of Aviation, I am pleased to announce that the love of my life, Dr. Anca Faur, and I have married. We have joined in holy matrimony in a small and private ceremony in Los Angeles and we are as excited as teenagers on the run.
In addition, in the post, the engineer also posted two photos showing the day of his last marriage with his new wife. In the first image he shows them up close, smiling, while the other shows them distracted in a pleasant conversation.
Mission in Apollo
As previously reported, Aldrin was part of the Apollo 11 mission, he was the pilot of the lunar module and together with Neil Armstrong, they were the first two human beings to set foot on the Moon, in 1969.
After earning a doctorate in astronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, he was selected as a member of NASA Astronaut Group 3,8 making him the first astronaut with a doctoral degree.
